About Augsburg
Augsburg, one of Germany’s oldest cities, offers a rich mix of history and culture. Founded by the Romans over 2,000 years ago, it features historic landmarks like the Augsburg Cathedral and the Renaissance Town Hall.
During the Renaissance, Augsburg became a key center for the European textile industry, known for its high-quality wool products. This historical link to the study of fibers resonates with the scientific exploration of hair, making Augsburg an apt location for the HairS’25 Symposium. The city provides visitors with a unique blend of historical exploration and modern experiences in the heart of Bavaria.
